Souvenirs d'un paysage n° 2 «les livres» is made up of nine wood and paper book forms strewn across the gallery floor. Five of these 'books' have wires attached to them and contain speakers. These are attached to five cassette players each of which plays back a different sound from the landscape. Approach one book and we hear birds, another the wind, and another an airplane, etc. This is an ironic juxtaposition of a textual container (the book) with an ephemeral content (sounds).
